Blue Lagoon surrounding Treasure Island! Yup, we can do that. This weekend, the 8th annual Dazzling Diamond Ball took place at Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo. This is a wonderful fundraiser event for Hospice Partners of the Central Coast – we’ve helped out from the very beginning, along with Mark Padgett Event Design. Each year, Mark dreams up some new place on the planet as a theme – and says “GO”. It is one of my favorite projects each time and I’m so thrilled to work with this incredible local organization and of course with Mark (he designs incredible weddings too!).
We’ve been to Paris, Thailand, Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan, Moscow… pretty dreamy gig for us imaginative types! This year, quite possibly the most imaginative – real pirates, sword fight for the opener and a full moon across the lagoon. Our rustic wrought iron candelabras fit right in with bees wax candles, black ostrich plumes, black crystals and purple dendrobium orchids. Quite possibly the best year yet and we’re already talking about next year!
Many thanks to my favorite lighting guru Zach over at Kramer Entertainment DJs & Event Lighting for transforming the atmosphere with the “midnight blue” night effects. Sophie at Mike Larson Inc. captured a few pictures for us and sent them over – you should check out her new blog – you’ll be captivated!

Very cool. Love the moon!
