Style Me Pretty is absolutely a favorite wedding blog of ours and so many of our brides. To have our efforts featured on their beautiful blog is such an honor!
Be sure to check out Brandon & Bri’s romantic story along with all the delightful details that our bride Brianne put together for her day. A wedding is such a collaboration by a collection of people that work together to make the day a memory of a life time for the bride & groom. This wedding features several of our favorites – including Chloe Murdoch for Mike Larson Inc. Photography & Epic Weddings @ CateringUnlimited.com. Beautiful linens and tent draping provided by lovely Julie over at Cover Ups. The vintage inspired photo booth is provided by our friends at the PhotoBooth Experience.

The savvy bride’s choice for high style on a budget.

Magenta, orange and fuchsia – bright, cheery and a big celebration!
Julia and I bonded from the beginning of the planning process, over our shared Canadian roots and love for hockey. Julia’s vision was pretty simple – she shared it with me and then let me run with it. Some of my very favorite weddings are the small intimate ones, done really well. Of course, if you choose to get married at the Dolphin Bay Resort, it is a given that it will be done well. Under the direction of Chef Evan Treadwell, in 2007 Lido Restaurant was awarded Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence and Sante’s Culinary Award for “Innovative Regional Restaurant.”
A couple of really fun elements from this wedding were the little couture chocolate silk pillow that the ring bearer carried down the aisle, covered in magenta orchids. The flower girl carried a small moss ball, also adorned with orchids and a taffeta ribbon handle. For the ceremony, two large scale glass vases featuring submerged orchids and topped with large moss balls adorned with flower clusters, framed the bridal couple. The application allows for maximum enjoyment of the view, while creating a simple ceremony focal point.
One of the highlights of this day for me, was getting to spend some time in the chef’s walk-in, decorating the wedding cake that pastry chef Benny created, with blooms. The wedding was orchestrated beautifully by the event staff at Dolphin Bay, the view – incredible and a memorable party of close family and friends ensued. Photographer Greg Bumatay, kindly shared these images with us.

Easter weekend we had a fabulous wedding at Robert Hall Winery along with some of my favorite professionals – the foundation to any great event. First, Robert Hall is really a beautiful venue with so many options for weddings and they have gone out of their way to provide excellent value to their bridal packages. My gal pal Jennie over at Trumpet Vine Catering provided artfully presented food with her usual epicurean flare. Kramer Entertainment provided grooving tunes AND lighting for the caverns (did I happen to say they are now doing lighting??!!). Amber Karson Event Planning handled all of the planning from Washington DC – she rocked it! And the incredibly talented Allyson Magda of Allyson Magda Photography captured these images and shared them with us. Every time I get photos from Allyson – it is like Christmas – images are everything, incredible images – priceless! Thank you to all for being the excellent team players you are and coming together to bring Chris and Buffy a fabulous wedding day.
